Our Group

Our team is pursuing reseach in the field of bioelectromagnetics with the aim of developing diagnostic and medical treatment procedures. The following are some main areas of focus.

  • Computational bioelectromagnetic, including estimation of the electric/magnetic field inside the body, tissue, and cellular micro-structures in response to the field sources outside the body (e.g. antenna, high-voltage power line, and etc.) and computational estimation of the field effects.
  • Design and construction of the wave applicators in both low and high frequency ranges (microwave frequencies or higher) to run bioelectromagnetic experiments.
  • Experimental studies on the effects of the waves on biological samples including cellular samples and, specifically, the effects of electric/magnetic fields on cellular behavior (proliferation, differentiation, migration, and so on) and identification of the mechanism of action at the group-level.
