Basic introduction to bioelectromagnetics

By: C. Furse, D.A. Christensen, C. H. Durney.  2009, 2nd Edition

Category:  General, Tissue-Scale

Level: Introductory

Includes: Review of quasi-static electromagnetics in the presence of matter, Dosimetry and SAR distribution within body models, Computational  Methods,  Introductory high frequency electromagnetics,

Short Review: The book is a suitable start for those with low acquaintance with electromagnetics. Mathematical expression are used sparingly. One of the advantages if this book lies in its illustrated demonstration of field penetration into conducting and dielectric matter, which provides a mental framework for understanding field distribution within biological tissue inhomogenities.
